         Hatha Yoga is the yoga of the body.  It is a discipline which features postures (called 'asanas’), breathings, and also guidelines for living, regarding the food we eat (Click here for the nutrition section), and our sleeping and bathing habits.  We are including a stretching section, since it relates to the area. 
 
 
Books 
 
1.     Yoga, by Ernest Wood.  (At the time of this writing the Pelican paperback is available at Amazon for a few dollars.)  It gives a good overview of yoga. 
2.     Hatha Yoga, by Yogi Ramacharaka.  This book is unique and valuable.  We will be quoting from it a lot in this section.  You can find it on the web as a free PDF download, and also on Kindle. 
 
3  .    The Original Yoga , by Shyam Ghosh.  Harder to find but superb.  Contains his original translation from the sanskrit of Siva Samhita, Gheranda Samhita, and Yoga Sutras, by Patanjali.  Most consider Yoga Sutras to be basic to yoga.
